- Friday: 2pm – Midnight
- Saturday: 10am – Midnight
- Sunday: 10am – 10pm

- Mon-Wed: 2pm – 10pm
- Thanksgiving: 10am – 10pm

If there are unpredictable or inclement weather situations during the season, ICE at Santa Monica may close for short durations of time. Please contact the rink at 310-496-9880 for specific information on any possible closures or call the Downtown Santa Monica offices at (310) 393-8355. We do our best to keep the rink open to skaters at all times.

How do I book a private event or birthday party?

What is the cost of admission? If I bring my own skates, what is the cost?
Admission is complimentary to all guests. However, the cost to skate is $12 and includes skate rental. For skaters who choose to bring their own skates, the cost is still $12.

Who manages the rink?
ICE at Santa Monica is operated by Downtown Santa Monica, Inc., which manages Downtown Santa Monica and Third Street Promenade, in partnership with Rink Management.

How long can I skate at the rink?
ICE at Santa Monica does not restrict the amount of time skaters can enjoy the rink, pending it’s within operating hours and skaters adhere to the code of conduct.

Do you offer season passes?
ICE at Santa Monica offers a Skaters’ Dozen Pass which allows frequent visitors to the rink to purchase 12 skating sessions for $100.

Do you offer skating lessons? If so, how do I book a lesson?
ICE at Santa Monica offers skate packages for just $84 inclusive of 4 skate lessons on Saturday mornings from 9am-10am with an experienced instructor and skate rental. Reservations required and subject to availability. Contact ice@downtownsm.com for more information.

Are lockers available at the ice rink?
Yes, lockers are available on site at the ice rink on a first-come, first-serve basis for $5.

Is there an age minimum for skating?
ICE at Santa Monica welcomes all ages of children and adults to enjoy the rink. The Tot Spot is a 20’ x 20’ enclosed rink especially designed for children 6 and under. The main skating rink is 8,000 sq ft and recommended for kids age 7 and older.

Is there a skater’s code of conduct?
ICE at Santa Monica welcomes all skaters to enjoy the rink this season. However, we do ask that skaters adhere to the code of conduct to ensure the safety of all our guests and skaters.
